Start early and you can’t go wrong
It sounds over-the-top, but organising Christmas at the end of Summer is a great way to plan for autumn/winter wellness.
This is especially true when you are a caregiver juggling multiple tasks, appointments, and life admin.
It is possible to make life less stressful by spreading our mental and physical loads and planning gifts and festivities early. In a previous blog about planning for autumn/winter wellness, I suggested saving in October. If you can do it even earlier, go for it! The sooner saving begins, the better it is to avoid the stresses and worries of one big bill landing in December!
It’s the same with mental stresses. The earlier preparations start, the more mentally organised and prepared we are to plan and do the things we need to, including buying for Christmas.
Avoid leaving things to the last minute
To avoid last-minute panic buying and to save money, I suggested taking advantage of Black Friday deals at the end of November.
It’s exactly what I’ve done this week. And, what a feeling it is to know I’ve ticked kids gifts off the list while saving money!
Although I only completed purchasing this week, I had time to plan and research the gifts I wanted to buy. It was an enjoyable process, and I never felt rushed, panicked, or stressed.
By a carer for other carers
As a caregiver, I want to help other caregivers save time and effort. So, here are my best buys for kids – ranging from 3 to 9 years old – including stocking fillers.
Enjoy – and I hope this is helpful x
